Work this past weekend

So this is what so far.
I have LOTS more work to do....but that's ok. I LOVE IT!

Thank you to Stephani for helping me 2 weekends ago. She was very supportive and kept me going. See her water bottle there on the table....i totally have to get that back to her :)

I'm using pallets from work! Thanks The Landscape Design Center! Woo whoo!

I'm going to paint them once i am done and hang shelving :)

THE BEGINNING

So I'm renting this basement.....and i want to make it my dream. Here is the story.....

Long time ago when i was little i had some AMAZING people in my life. Now....i still have amazing people in my life...so no offense to them :)

Their names were RON and NANCY Hutton. They taught me morals, kindness, understanding, humor, love, creativity, frugality, and LOTs more that i don't have time to list.

Anyway.....so i have decided, after MUCH thought, to open a store. It has always been a dream of mine to do SOMETHING by myself, for myself. Ever since i would run around Nanny's antique store and got to auctions with her to pick up "junk" as i put it, i have been in love with "finding" things and making something NEW out of them. Something that people would WANT and USE.

I didn't consider this recycling really. Ron and Nanny always promoted simplicity and the re-used of 'found' treasures. I carried this into my adulthood without even knowing.

So here i am.....wanting to Recycle......just like everyone else! But now you know.....my motivation isn't to save the planet (though that is great) OR to "jump on the bandwagon", it is to preserve Ron and Nanny and the things i learned from them.

Though most of you may know.....we lost them to Cancer many years ago. This is why it is so important that i preserve their memory.

I hope you enjoy this blog.....it will show my progress as i work on the store :)
